Happy New Year 2018

The First Day of Year 2018 is like the first flame of a Fire set by a Spark of hope, a New Beginning, motivation and wishes for a Healthy and Happy New Year! We anticipate change, with excitement and a set of Personal Goals we plan to achieve…Perhaps we waved good bye to 2017 memories filled with many good Life experiences, some challenging, achievements, or maybe some losses…Time is a continuum but we measure it with clocks, calendars and events that mark change.
It occurred to me that a 100 Years ago, 1918 was the Year of My Father’s Birth. I sat and wondered what it must of been like for my Grandparents, my Dad the oldest Son of 11 Children, the offspring of Immigrants, His Father from Munich Germany and Mother from Kilkenny Ireland. As these thoughts filled my head, my keen imagination and visualization of what it must have been like so many years ago…Then it dawned on me, it really wasn’t that long ago, it wasn’t long since my Birth, my Children are now Young Adults and soon they may be planing Families of their own and I will be coming of the age of being a Grandparent…The countdown of a Year and the transition into the beginning of a New Year is a rush, a push and an amazing experience of reflections of another passing Year, especially with the stroke of Midnight and turning ahead to the future of a Happy New Year and many more to come, and knowing that we didn’t start the Fire!
